Richard A. Asper
Since Rick Asper graduated from law school with a juris doctor degree in 1976 his professional experience has been exclusively related to aviation, with an emphasis in aviation matters related to governments and airlines. He has traveled to over sixty countries during the last thirty years, at the behest of airlines, government civil aviation bodies, airports, airport sponsors and private aviation interests worldwide.
He has represented several governments as their designated representative to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and has assisted many industry partners and ICAO bodies, particularly in the field of compliance with ICAO annex requirements, and compliance with the USA’s Code of Federal Regulations.
Rick serves on several international regulatory boards and committees, and is a frequent speaker at aviation conventions and functions worldwide. He has been the chairman of the Bahamas Aviation Council, a parastatal organization of government and private aviation interests within the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, for the last fifteen years.
Rick is the founder of the Aviation Professionals and has served as its Chairman since it was formed in 1996.
Rick lives in Fort Lauderdale. He is a licensed private pilot and aircraft owner, with nearly 6000 hours of flying during the last 40 years.
Craig (C.A.) Southerland
Craig (C.A.) Southerland is an airline founder with over 25 years of work with a variety of airlines servicing business & tourism industries; a financial, operations, regulations, and administration manager; an airline/government interface negotiation expert; and an airline consultant with broad international experience.
One of C.A.’s particular areas of expertise is in guiding aviation related businesses through all aspects of development and planning, with an emphasis on international operations and permitting, as well as economic modeling and the authoring of bids to obtain U.S. Government contracts. He’s currently active with numerous clients in 12 different countries on 5 continents, all in varying stages of airline development, from the start-up stages, through a variety of certifications, with a particular emphasis on sustainable business modeling and profitability.
C.A. is a licensed private pilot and makes his home in Fort Lauderdale with his wife, Janie, and their children.
Manager Regulatory Compliance
Kelly Brosche is a licensed Airline Transport Pilot with a degree in Aeronautics. She has a wide range of airline experience, and has held a variety of senior level positions at different airlines, both in the US and in South America, including Station Manager, the Supervisor of all Foreign Stations, and Director of Safety for a Part 121 airline. Kelly spent many years learning the airline business and has experienced every side of it, from “flying the line” through upper level management, where, among other tasks, she spent a great deal of time representing the airline before the FAA, specifically in matters of regulatory compliance and safety.
Since joining the Aviation Professionals Group, Kelly has consulted for numerous clients, and has been engaged in a wide variety of roles, such as managing large corporate jets, obtaining various approvals for foreign air carriers to operate flights to and from the USA, conducting safety/compliance audits, and editing operational and maintenance manuals for airlines worldwide, to mention but a few. Because of her skills in both English and Spanish, she brings to APG the ability to deal with and compose documents and manuals in either language.
Manager Airline Development and Aircraft Analysis
Greg Pirrie is a highly versatile former airline executive with a broad range of experience. During the last 20 years he has served in a variety of airline senior management positions for 5 different airlines, including both as Director of Maintenance, and as the Director of Operations for a Part 121 airline. As part of his many airline duties, he has authored extensive procedural manuals, in both the operations and maintenance areas, and has served as a ground instructor, teaching various curricula to pilots and mechanics.
Since joining the Aviation Professionals Group, Greg has worked with a variety of airlines, advising them in matters of operations and maintenance, and leading them through complex regulatory processes, such as various certificate upgrades and equipment changes/additions.
Greg is a licensed Airline Transport Pilot, as well as a licensed Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic with Inspector Authorization. He lives in Fort Lauderdale with his wife and children.
Judy Wyly’s professional career has seen her in a variety of roles prior to joining the Aviation Professionals Group, with the most recent being a teacher of History and English at the Middle and High School level. A history buff who holds a Master’s Degree in the study thereof, Judy enjoys her work assisting the diverse group of consultants that make up the firm. She is particularly fond of interacting with our many clients, and hers will likely be the first cheery voice you encounter when calling.
